Swimming Pool Compliance Certificates
A swimming pool compliance certificate is a legal requirement for all in-ground pools, above ground pools, indoor pools, portable pools and spa pools or anything capable of being filled with 300mm or more of water, if they meet the required pool safety regulations.
AIS certifiers are accredited under the Building and Development Certifiers Act and registered with the NSW Swimming Pool Register to issue swimming pool compliance certificates. A certificate of compliance can be obtained after a successful pool compliance inspection has been preformed. AIS certifiers are able to carry out an inspection and provide advice where needed to obtain the certificate. Obtaining this certificate of compliance means that your pool has met he safety standards enforced by law and safe to use.
For your convenience, the swimming pool register website features a self-assessment checklist for the homeowner, which you can view here.
- YOU provide us with a completed pool compliance application form, and evidence of the registration of the swimming pool, which can be done here
- WE carry out an inspection of the swimming pool barrier to ensure compliance with the applicable Australian standard that was enforced at the time of construction of the barrier
- WE notify you of the outcome of the inspection and as to whether any rectification works are to be carried out, if not we will issue a Certificate of Compliance and register it through the swimming pool register
